You will be joining a Quality Engineering team that provides new product introduction, manufacturing, and quality control expertise to aid in production of components/assemblies for our award-winning Monarch Tractor.
Responsibilities Include:
- Plan, organize, and direct supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness for new products / design changes using APQP and PPAP methodologies.
- Facilitate communication, clarification of technical requirements, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) between Suppliers and Purchasing, Quality, and Design teams.
- Lead suppliers through PFMEA process to determine potential risks and drive resolution of high-risk issues into supplier process controls.
- Establish clear criteria for Part Inspection Standards based on product specification and process critical requirements and lead development of measurement analysis/strategies with suppliers.
- Provide input on new or alternative materials for improved design, manufacturability, or cost reduction and lead supplier improvements in scalability, cost, and quality.
- Support the development of DFMEAs to determine potential risks in product design and resolution of high-risk issues in design features plus flow down to supplier process requirements.
- Conduct supplier audits to ensure their capabilities to meet part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations during supplier selection.
- Able to perform and lead problem solving activities for production/quality issues using 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa diagrams, etc. through root cause investigation, development, and implementation of preventative/corrective actions.
- Develop non-conforming part review procedures and provide disposition to non-conforming supplier material.
Qualifications/Experience:
- B.S. or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
- High proficiency in reviewing written/pictorial documentation of manufacturing quality procedures.
- Automotive or agricultural manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize information to a general understanding and communicate across different organizational levels.
- Experience in IATF16949 type requirements, APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA required.
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and a broad variety of measurement and inspection techniques.
- 5+ years of experience developing and launching complex assembly processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, exposure to SolidWorks
