Job Description
Summary You will serve as the Assistant Program Manager, Logistics (APML) in the Mission Systems Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is equivalent to GS-14, Step 10: $132,368 - $172,075. Responsibilities You will determine, based on technical information/feedback/funding availability, the best approach for expending resources to ensure an adequate logistics support posture. You will formulate the support and maintenance concepts and maintainability requirements for assigned weapon system. You will be responsible for acquisition planning and execution including schedule, technical, and fiscal management. You will adjust plans and schedules as needed to ensure logistics requirements and program goals are met. You will plan and chair logistics and maintenance conferences/meetings, as required, throughout the acquisition and support phases to ensure a continuous, effective, and balanced logistics support program. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or pay band NM-04in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ability to plan divisional workforce shaping for the PMA customer while interacting with PEO(s) and PMA leadership; 2) Problem solving ability, technical acumen, conflict resolution, and executive communication and presentation skills; 3) Knowledge and mastery of the methods and techniques utilized in the interpretation and application of the policies and concepts of the broad spectrum of functional logistics management activities related to the support of major Naval Aviation weapons systems; 4) Demonstrated skill and personal art in exercising diplomacy and tact in negotiations, conversations, correspondence, etc., especially, when diverse and opposing points of view, goals or objectives are expressed; 5) In-depth knowledge of the Naval Air Systems Command Team organizational structure and culture, operating procedures, budget processes and management controls. DAWIA Requirement: This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and has been identified as a Career Field L-Life Cycle Logistics at Level III - Advanced. You are responsible for meeting applicable DAWIA certification requirements, including maintaining currency in your career field.
