Job Description
Rotex is looking for a Supervisor/Team Leader – Operations (2nd Shift) to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. As a Supervisor/Team Leader – Operations you will be responsible for…
Supervising the company's production team, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and objectives with consideration to the safety, efficiency, harmony and overall well-being of the company and its employees.

What you’ll do:
  • Comply with the union-management labor agreement. Participate in the administration of the agreement in such specific capacities as may be assigned.
  • Maintain safe working conditions in accordance with company and governmental safety regulations and codes.
  • Develop, maintain, and motivate an effective work force by supervising the production team.
  • Adhere to established production schedules and maintain manufacturing efficiency and quality against established standards.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Actively participate in lean/continuous improvement activities to improve Company processes and products.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend ways of increasing productivity through improved methods, equipment, or other means. Identify root cause of issues and coordinate permanent corrective action.
  • Develop and complete action plans toward the accomplishment of the goals and objectives of the Company’s Business Plan.
  • Recommend means of improving product quality in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Department.
  • Support product development and design activities. Expedite & coordinate prototype testing as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company policies, the Code of Ethical Business Conduct, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Basic Requirements:
Education
Bachelors degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in business, operations, or other related field; and a minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in operations management and production supervision.
Skills/Experience
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required
  • Intermediate level communication skills required
  • Working knowledge of an ERP system required (Great Plains preferred)
  • Basic experience in manufacturing environment preferred
