Job Description

Anticipated salary range: $80,800 - $101,000

Bonus eligible: NO

Shift: Sunday through Thursday (Sun 2:00pm - 10:30pm and M-TH 4:30pm - 1:00am)

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma process improvement preferred
  • Robotics and automation experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, data driven and problem-solving skills
  • Competitive spirit
  • Post secondary degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Supervisor/management role or related experience preferred
  • Available to work on weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, SAP, Kronos preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong sense of team and teamwork

Responsibilities

  • Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency while providing flawless transactions and services; manage monetary assets and other resources to optimize cost effectiveness
  • Maintains general responsibility for disciplinary process in counseling, oral and written warnings; insures a productive work climate in the warehouse operation
  • Work with 3PL agencies in maintenance and transportation
  • Spends majority of workday on the floor coaching and developing diverse teams by providing feedback on performance, which is timely, specific, and accurate; focuses on strengths and development opportunities.
  • Responsible for employee development, which includes training, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals
  • Advise associates of various benefits and resources available to them through our comprehensive benefits program
  • Monitor productivity, adhere to budgetary guidelines, and work to meet Distribution Center objectives and operational goals while maintaining standards pertaining to quality
  • Ensure quality service is provided to the customers and ensures prompt follow-through on customer correspondence, complaints and inquiries related to shipment of merchandise and stock-on-hand; Develops and implement modifications and innovations to improve the quality of service to our customers
  • Recommend and implement programs, policies, and strategies to increase production and efficient space utilization
  • Ensures that accurate attendance/PTO records and scheduling are maintained
  • Adhere to budget requirements and works toward obtaining objectives and division goals
  • Responsible for the daily scheduling of the work force to ensure proper staffing to select, replenish, restock, locate and ship merchandise in a productive and cost-efficient manner
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders to schedule timely pickups of International freight shipments.
  • Prepares ad hoc reports as necessary
  • Direct and manage warehouse associates to achieve timely distribution and receipt of product and motivate employees to ensure that predetermined productivity and quality standards are achieved
  • Manage KPIs, support help, projects and other items around our automated picking robots
  • Coordinate maintenance of equipment, guiding both preventive maintenance and coordinating all necessary repairs
  • Responsible for Cardinal Health compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, State, and local authorities; primary facility contacts for QRA compliance and initiatives
  • Collaborate with customer service to address any customer concerns and KPI’s.
  • Hold staff accountable for conducting work in a safe manner, ensure that warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform distribution functions and provide support for a culture that strives toward continuous improvement.
