The Opportunity

This position works out of our Irving, TX location in the Core Lab Division. Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.

As the Supervisor Warehouse I, you’ll Coordinates schedules and implementing activities for the Distribution function, that include overseeing personnel, directing operations and following-up on transactions, to ensure department standards and the Regulations are observed. Manages sterilization, returned goods, receipt, storage and transaction of finished goods in accordance with validated procedures. Ensures that customer orders are processed quickly and accurately to meet Division standards.

What You’ll Work On

• Develops work schedules for department by assessing priorities, workload, and available resources.
• Interprets and executes policies that affect individuals within the assigned organizational unit or department.
• Promotes department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable staff.
• Interacts with internal and external customers, by meeting regularly, responding to requests and explaining procedures.
• Schedules human and material resources within a department or section in conjunction with near-term plans to ensure their availability; carries out operations within an established budget.
• Maintains personnel records (e.g., work schedules, vacation schedules, leaves) and makes or directs modifications in the database to reflect actual changes.
• Leads the activities of assigned staff by communicating and providing guidance towards achieving department objectives.
• Implements a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements, writing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approval for changes, and coordinating the selection process with Human Resources.
• Develops direct reports by securing appropriate training, assigning progressively challenging tasks, applying progressive disciplinary action as appropriate and conducting formal written and verbal performance reviews.
• Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g., compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations etc.).
• May perform individual contributor tasks, especially in staff or professional units.
• Assignments are expressed in the form of tasks; generally, makes day-to-day decisions within established policies, procedures and guidelines in order to carry out the operations and processes selected at higher levels; consequences of erroneous decisions or recommendations might include delays in program schedules and result in the allocation of more resources.
• Monitors daily work operations and provides direction to predominantly nonexempt and entry level staff to achieve unit or departmental goals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree related field, OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
• A good understanding of specified functional area.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience with direct people management and/or project management experience in a medical device manufacturing operations or supply chain environment preferred.
• Forklift certification
• Have experience leading warehouse staff with experience in hiring, training, motivating, and resolving employee relation’s issues
• Ability to motivate and influence a team while driving accountability and results
• Have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of cycle counting and familiarity with Warehouse Management systems.
• Uses time effectively, both for self and others and uses meetings effectively.
• Able to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the changing needs of the Distribution Center; work schedules may require working an early shift, staying long for a late shift, and weekend work depending on the customer and operational requirements of the division
• Be willing to listen and respond to teammates
• 2-5 years of related work experience.

The base pay for this position is $56,700.00 – $113,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
