Job Description
This position will promote, encourage and inspire the Quality Assurance employees to ensure quality standards throughout the Risk Management Operations Division (RMO). They will support the Quality Assurance Manager and/or Director in all aspects of their job duties to promote strategic initiatives and process/quality improvements.
  • Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Workflow Management (35%)
  • Manage the overall workflow within the QA department by monitoring productivity and providing direction and guidance to employees to ensure the department continues to support all business units in relation to audits, procedures, research and strategic initiatives.
People Management (25%)
  • Develop, empower and coach employees to think creatively, work independently and perform to their maximum potential.
Lead Change (25%)
  • Investigate, analyze, troubleshoot, and seek out resolutions to issues presented in audits to lead change in new quality processes and continued system and process improvement.
Internal and External Collaboration (15%)
  • Be a liaison by collaborating with business units and subject matter experts to establish sound practices. Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
  • Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):
  • Members to contribute their best effort.
  • Organizational Skills - Ability to self-prioritize, assign and organize work flow. Meet service level expectations.
  • Critical Thinking Skills – Advanced problem-solving skills. Ability to handle confidential information and to take action with personnel issues. Adaptable to change and makes independent decisions. Handle multiple projects and deadlines and remains effective under pressure.
  • 5 – 7 years related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Communication Skills – Effective listening and use of clear, concise and effective oral and written communication. The ability to compose written material as well as effectively present to employees and LSPD management and/or staff. Ability to convey thoughts in a focused and concrete manner.
  • Teamwork skills – Direct and strategize with team to meet department goals. Professional interaction with employees and peers. Foster employee/team involvement to empower team
  • Computer Skills –Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • 3 – 4 years leadership experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Leadership skills – Lead with integrity to inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner. Engage employees in developing goals, executing plans and delivering results.
