• Minimum 1 year experience in camp, youth programs, recreation, working with high school students, or in a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of practices, procedures, activities, and programs as they relate to youth/child camping.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Upon hire, completion of provided First Aid and CPR certification.

UNCP’s Summer Transportation Institute Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the camp. The incumbent is also responsible for various administrative tasks, which includes ordering supplies, coordinating schedules, and completing all necessary reports. Implements, evaluates and revises the academic curriculum Provides laboratory activities and resource materials. Performs other duties assigned by the grant Project Director.
Essential Functions

• Coordinate quality and safety before and after care at all locations.
• See camp specific addendum for program details.
• Assist with the various administrative tasks necessary for camp to run efficiently.
• Ensure that all program area schedules are completed satisfactorily in a timely manner.
• Interact effectively with the camp staff as a total system, with campers’ best interest in mind.
• Ensure the maintenance of accurate program and administrative records.
• Ensure that the site is kept clean, organized, and free of litter.
• Be a leader in parent communication and address parent concerns in a timely manner.
• Be responsible for knowing, understanding, training, and executing all camp policies and emergency procedures associated with the camp.
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills

This position is grant funded for a limited time between June 12 – August 11, 2023.
