LOWELL PUBLIC SCHOOLS
SUMMER SCHOOL SERVICES 2023
SPECIAL EDUCATION SUMMER PROGRAMS


Position: Special Education Paraprofessionals (up to 36)


Reports to: Teacher/ Building Administrator
Dates of Employment:

  • 4 Hours per day (Mornings- time TBD)
  • 25 Days - Students attend July 5-August 1st. M-F

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Physically assist students as needed; this may include holding, carrying, feeding, and toileting.
  • Report to teacher and Program Administrator
  • Act as part of an interdisciplinary classroom team
  • Assist in carrying out therapies as requested.
  • Assist teacher in maintaining classroom
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the teacher.


Qualifications:

  • Meets DOE standard for highly qualified paraprofessional
  • Experience in educational programs serving students with disabilities


Salary: $20hrx 25 days (4 hour days) =$2,000
5 days of professional development are included
