Job Summary
PSE&G is seeking one Billing Operations intern for the summer of 2023 into fall semester. Billing Operations is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate billing of PSE&G’ s 2.3 million electric and 1.8 million gas customers. The team allocates daily billing exception workloads and provides reporting for management.
This position will be hybrid. A combination of onsite at a minimum of one day per week and remote work schedule is required.
Job Responsibilities
As an Intern for the PSE&G Billing Operations department, you will be working with a team of analysts and supervisors who support the Billing process. The intern(s) will support the following projects / business functions
- Identify and implement process improvements in the Billing process
- Review and update process documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Assist the team with developing training plans and programs
- Provide administrative support to the leadership and supervisor team
- Complete annual entitlement reviews for locations and shared file locations
- Assist team members with testing system enhancements / changes
- Run analytical reports, develop insights, and communicate results/findings
Job Specific Qualifications
The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, or similar business related major. Candidate must have completed sophomore level coursework by the start of the internship program to be considered. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education, which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint applications
- GPA of 3.0 or above
All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period and as business needs warrant. We are targeting: Currently enrolled/matriculating students (must be enrolled at the start of the internship program) that are able to commute to the assigned work location as needed Housing, transportation, immigration support will not be provided.
