  • Performs quality review of all project documents and makes sure all project quality reviews adhere to company QA/QC practices and procedures
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Supervising Engineer or Project Engineer

  • Provide direction and support to Designers and CAD Technicians on the project team making sure they have the information needed to perform their job functions

  • Prepares specifications and material lists
  • Populate project change log throughout the project cycle with adequate out-of-scope descriptions and hours associated with the additional work
  • Performs site visits as required by client
  • Perform Project Close-Out and As-Built revisions

  • Assures all project deliverables meet the technical requirements of the project
  • Assist with the creation project scopes, estimates, and schedules
  • Provide Project Managers information to create project status reports and estimates-to-complete
  • Applies sound engineering principals and standards to utility substation or transmission line designs
  • Adaptability: We are flexible and adapt to new delivery methods and willing to take measured risk.
  • Confers with clients, utility personnel, manufacturers’ representatives and others as required when carrying out above work
  • POSITION DUTIES:
  • Visits construction sites to inspect work in progress or completed, as required by client
  • Teamwork: We support and respect each other's efforts by working together to provide the best possible outcomes.


Requirements
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Physical Substation Design is preferred for this opening
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience engineering substations or transmission lines.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of applicable engineering codes
  • Excellent communication skills working with clients and other employees
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Civil or Structural engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • EIT (first part of professional licensing) is preferred
