Overview:
SUMMER 2023

Shure offers a challenging, fun and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate students that have completed at least 2 years of college, as well as graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Additionally, Interns who relocate to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.

As the Strategy and Innovation Intern, you'll work directly on projects linked to development of new Shure products, with executive level exposure, with a focus on data analysis across the business. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your knowledge of human factors/ethnography, data analysis, story telling, and leave your mark on Shure by translating data and trends to future business strategy.

This Internship is Onsite or Hybrid.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist Marketing team on various life cycle management initiatives.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Assist Marketing Product Coordinator with setting up of new models in SAP.
  • Analyze competitive products such as wired and wireless microphones, in-ear monitors, earphones and audio accessories.
  • Assist Marketing Product Coordinator with maintenance and archiving of discontinued products and related files.
  • Assist product development efforts by helping with end user product (beta) testing.
  • Analyze sales and market data to facilitate business decisions for both existing Shure products and new product concepts.
  • Document requirements for new products and improvements to existing products based on customer needs.
  • Distill technical information for non-technical individuals.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent listening skills with the ability to interface with a variety of audiences
  • Currently pursuing a college degree in marketing, business or sound engineering is a plus
  • Understanding User Experience (UX)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of wired/wireless networks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to create solutions from data sets
  • Interest in music/music performance and/or technology i.e., computer networking & connectivity
  • Demonstrated knowledge of audio products a plus but not required
