Job Description

Position Overview

We’re looking for talented individuals whose experiences include M&A, product strategy, and go-to-market strategy within SaaS or tech-enabled businesses.


As a Consultant, you will work with both our private equity partners and executive teams in to identify value creation opportunities in their software-driven portfolio companies.


You will be responsible for leading our value creation strategy work streams with customers from discovery interviews with critical stakeholders and consumers, generating quality and differentiated insights, and synthesizing your discoveries.


This is an opportunity for you to work directly withexecutive management on high-impact strategy programs that rapidly move the needle on the client’s enterprise value.


This is an entry to mid-level position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Thinktiv business development efforts
  • Lead C-level discussions to drive strategy and identify value creation opportunities
  • Lead the synthesis of data to identify valuable signals and insights for our clients across multiple work streams, including voice of customer, messaging architecture, and market ecosystem analysis
  • Prepare client presentation narratives and outline associated visual aids
  • Ensure separate engagement work streams are coordinated and building towards a unified output
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of Analysts to ensure efficient production
  • Test key assumptions on clients' business challenges, value drivers, and competitor differentiators
  • Interface with senior private equity and business executives to align on value creation recommendations and strategic imperatives
  • Assist in or lead internal Thinktiv operational improvement efforts
  • Develop and guide project teams to deliver growth strategy recommendations for clients


Requirements

  • Fully capable of handling complex, extended client engagements with multiple moving parts and stakeholders
  • Analytical skills and a capacity to conduct sophisticated and rigorous analyses of both quantitative and qualitative information
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in management consulting, corporate M&A deal analysis/support, preferably in digitally native software environments;
  • 1+ year of experience in product strategy or go-to-market strategy for SaaS / software enabled mid-market sized businesses
  • Embody a development mindset - focused on growing personally while developing your project team members and other Thinktivians
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization, often in complex and sensitive environments
  • A demonstrable track record of value creation and leadership in current and/or previous roles
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across product strategy, engineering, sales, and go-to-market teams
  • Deep experience performing market analyses, market sizing estimations, and competitive analyses
  • Diplomatic, broad-minded, flexible, curious and detail-oriented
  • Embrace and advance Thinktiv’s cultural values and operating principles
  • 1+ year experience with product management organizations with experience bringing new products to market
  • Experience managing projects that require thinking holistically, identifying and resolving key strategic challenges, and delivering against tight deadlines
  • Able to quickly understand and apply market dynamics to previously unfamiliar spaces and generate new ideas and/or theses based on research and market understanding
  • Skilled at facilitating meetings and/or making presentations to small and large groups.
  • Excellent writing, editing and oral communication skills; ability to organize and present complex information in a clear and concise manner
