Strategic Communications and Outreach Associates provide communications expertise to develop documents, support events, outreach and training initiatives. They develop and help execute communications strategies with stakeholders, lead workstreams, delivering compelling materials to clients to inspire action. With at least 3 years of experience in communications, they enjoy teamwork and complex problem solving.

Hybrid Work Environment: Arc Aspicio is currently working in a hybrid work environment where work will be performed at client sites, the Arc Aspicio DC office, and, as approved, remotely on a part-time basis. All candidates must live in the Washington, DC area at the time of employment, ready to work with a team on meaningful projects.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supports outreach strategies to build relationships with stakeholders and develop clear, compelling materials and training to drive change and deliver mission results
• Contribute towards our learning culture, where people put team, client, and company interest ahead of their own, by demonstrating interest in supervising and supporting the growth of others
• Take advantage of company opportunities to develop leadership and consulting skills and thrive in a fast growth environment
• Develop consulting skills and help grow the company outside of your project by participating in new business and strategic initiatives
• Love to learn complex mission areas in homeland security such as emergency management, immigration, customs, and transportation security
• Collaborate with our clients to solve tough problems, delivering outstanding client service and achieving mission results
• Apply excellent consulting, business analysis, and communications skills to quickly identify problems, analyze challenges, and recommend solutions to our team and our clients
• Work on client projects while contributing to meaningful contributions in project success in parallel with developing a consulting firm

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Proven to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Desire to join a company and team and stay for the long-term, gaining more leadership and supervisory responsibility
• Clearance: U.S. Citizenship only / (no dual citizenship)
• Great writer and presenter, with strong attention to detail and ability to confidently run meetings and connect with a wide range of clients including at the senior executive level
• Technological savvy with Microsoft products and use of collaboration tools (SharePoint preferred) and data analysis platforms
• Enthusiasm to collaborate with others and reach out to get involved in company events, offerings, and special projects
• Ability to focus and pay attention to detail while remaining focused on a strategic, big picture
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively remotely and in-person
• Experience and/or interest in applying consulting methods for stakeholder engagement and outreach, and evidence of building strong client and/or stakeholder relationships
• Ability to develop compelling outreach and training strategies to reach stakeholders and inspire action in an emergency preparedness and mitigation environment
• Critical Skills: Entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, resilience, loves to learn, excited to engage and build relationships
• Excellent work ethic in a dynamic, complex, and challenging environment and self-motivated with the ability to take on more responsibility quickly
• 3+ years of full-time experience working on strategic communications and outreach projects in a professional environment in close collaboration with stakeholders and creating compelling materials
• Strong interest in working in a consulting firm and entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to learn business concepts
• Excellent skills in strategic communications and ability to create compelling presentations and communicate with stakeholders

Hybrid Work Environment: Arc Aspicio is currently working in a hybrid work environment where employees at client sites, the Arc Aspicio DC office, and, as approved, remotely on a part-time basis. Candidates must live in the Washington, DC area on their start date, ready to work with their team.
