Position Summary: The Stock Associate is responsible for the flow of merchandise from the central point of delivery to the retail sales floor. They work in a team lead by the Operations Management team. They are a part of the backbone that keeps the retail stores operating at an operationally efficient and effective capacity. They are the gatekeepers of the back house, product organization and upkeep.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities:
- Promote and maintain an environment that is sharply focused on consistently delivering exceptional, positive, in-store customer service.
- Consistently work with sales-floor team to ensure customers are receiving product in a timely manner.
- Executing any necessary assigned tasks before or after regular store operating hours.
- Partner with Store & Warehouse Leadership to execute tasks that streamline the product cycle.
- Ensure adherence to all company policy and procedures.
- Ensure assigned tasks are completed in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Assist Operations Management in maintaining a clean and safe workspace, by completing traditional cleaning tasks such as but not limited to sweeping, breaking down boxes and collecting/disposing of garbage.
- Provide a friendly and welcoming environment to both our external and internal clients.
- Display expert product knowledge of product, company history, company policies and store/company strategies.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure product is readily available for clients.
Special Projects:
- Assist Merchandising team during visual initiatives as required by the business.
- Support morning & daytime shifts during big launches, overall heavy business days or as required by the overall business.
- Participate and assist in Physical Inventories as required by the business.
REQUIREMENTS
Availability:
- Open & flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as Holidays
Experience:
- 1+ years in a retail/apparel environment is a plus
- 1-2 years working in a retail operations position
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job
- Lifting or moving up to 50 pounds
- Efficient time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once
- Bending, twisting as well as climbing of ladders and other physical tasks related to standard retail operations
- Basic computer skills
- Standing/Walking for prolonged periods of time
- Efficient communication with customers, peers, or Direct-Reports
