Steward Supervisor Jobs

The Steward Supervisor, while overseeing the other Stewards, provides cleaning support for the kitchen staff under the direct supervision of the Executive Steward.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and sanitary working conditions for kitchen personnel.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Follow all rules and regulations of ASM GLOBAL Food & Beverage.
• Keep work area, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitary.
• Organize and properly store perishables for cooks and receiving and issuing clerks.
• Keep all dishes, small wares, and utensils cleaned.
• Supervise Stewards and assist in maintaining and cleaning inventory of small wares, utensils, and kitchen supplies.
• Organize and maintain proper inventory of small wares, utensils, and cleaning supplies and equipment, reordering when necessary.
• Assist Executive Steward to oversee both Stewards and Temporary staff during events to include kitchen areas, breakdown set ups as well as plate up areas.

Qualifications & Skills

• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
• Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
• Must have a pleasant personality and neat and clean appearance.
• Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Must be able to work standing for the duration of shift.
• Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce excellent results.
• Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours

Minimum Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED certification preferred.
