Job Summary:

We are seeking a Staff Nurse in our Aesthetic Center located in Durham, NC to be an integral member of the healthcare team and provide direct and indirect care to patients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participates in all staff educational opportunities, in-services, and demonstrates annual competency for nursing skills related to the multiple areas of patient care throughout the clinic (clinic, preop, periop, postop, triage).
• Appraises quality and effectiveness of supplies and equipment. Provides direction and guidance in proper use, care and control of material resources.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
• Delivers patient care according to the standards of the clinic, peri-operative and pre-screening areas. Provides patient/significant other education and staff education to address the needs of the specific patient populations seen at the center.
• Use the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evalutate the needs of the multi-specialty clinicand surgery patients. Properly document and communicate nursing actions and patient responses in health system EMR.
• Anticipates potential safety concerns in the environment of care and infection control. Cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes surgical instruments for procedures. Provides a safe environment of care.

Job Eligibility Requirements:

• Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.
• Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
• Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience is required.
• All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date.

Job Schedule:

The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
