About The Opportunity


Department: Finance


Reports to: Controller


We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our fast-growing and exciting culture. You will be joining the Finance team and be involved in independent and cross-functional responsibilities. Most notable, this role will be responsible for managing the several general ledger accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions. In addition, contributing to the goals of the department and design of cross-functional processes that ensure accuracy and compliance in our operations.


You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…


  • Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
  • Help identify risks in internal controls and creation of mitigating controls to address those risks
  • Aide in preparation of weekly KPI metrics for management
  • Preparation of ad-hoc financial analysis, projections, and reports
  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Be available for requests during non-business hours
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and presentation of financial results
  • Optimization of new and existing financial systems to address gaps in internal controls or inefficient processes
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Posting of monthly adjusting entries
  • Document all communications with vendors and customers
  • Investigate and resolve billing and invoicing problems including customer interaction
  • Assist with audits and tax returns
  • Assist in Company forecast preparation and revisions as needed
  • Participate in some financial standards setting and budget/forecast process
  • Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance
  • Implement and improve upon Finance department processes
  • Keep all paperwork organized in designated cloud storage locations
  • Lead or support special finance projects
  • Develop and execute accounting and cross-functional process improvements
  • Prepare reconciliation reports monthly and quarterly
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain accuracy and strengthen internal controls
  • Provide input into department’s goal setting process
  • Coordinate accounting functions and programs
  • Execute on administrative tasks as assigned, including those related to Human Resources, Legal and Risk

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; experience with accounting software a plus
  • CPA required
  • Strong financial analysis, organizational, and stress management skills
  • 2-4 years of working experience in public accounting or staff accountant role
  • Strong analytical, verbal/written communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Strong standards of excellence and resourcefulness
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP
  • Attention to detail and ability to efficiently and effectively prioritize while working on multiple projects
  • TypeS (startup) personality; smart, ethical, nice, curious, hard-working, and proactive
  • Excellent team player and collaborator
  • Ability to make decisions and work independently to keep clean and auditable records
