Job Description
The Staff Accountant will support NIHF with precision in the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, museum store operations, Pre K-12 registration system, NIHF filings, and departmental reporting.
Position Responsibilities
Learn and perform all aspects of Accounting functions as they pertain to NIHF:
  • 1099 Filings, including the IRS FIRE website
  • Unclaimed funds
  • Annual reports
  • E-Commerce and Store Museum
  • Accounts Payable
  • Inventory
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Manage Company filings
  • Museum Store
  • Create promo codes
  • Cash Management
  • Charitable filings
  • Company registration system
  • Departmental reporting
  • Extract sales to be imported in GP/BC365
  • Assist with system issues, refunds, and inventory adjustments
  • Month-end and Year-end processes
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Advanced Excel
  • Adaptable to daily challenges

  • Tax knowledge a plus
  • Ability to finish tasks within deadlines

Credentials And Experience
  • Desire to grow and advance within the organization
  • Must be team-oriented
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 5+ years of Accounting experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Accounting software packages (Business Central 365 a plus)
