We service shipyards, oilfield fabricators, heavy equipment producers, machinery makers, global energy and petrochemicals industry, and many other end users and distributors who need high quality American steel.

Our Company is currently seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly financial analysis reports, developing and maintaining department budgets and generating cost reports. The successful candidate will also collect pertinent information for third party audits, oversee financial reporting and operations and will be the first point of contact for accounting issues.

Job Responsibilities:

• Daily bank reconciliation.

• Update general ledger on a daily basis.

• Financial model to be updated on a monthly basis - linked to trail balance.

• Reconciliation of EBITDA and net profit with the number as per the monthly MIS.

• Accounts analysis for both balance sheet items and profit and loss accounts on a monthly basis.

• Maintenance of dead stock register (assets written off in books but control to be maintained in form of a register).

• AR Balance confirmations - balance confirmations and reconciliations (where balances are not reconciled) in a manner that balances are reconciled at least once a year.

• Similar reconciliation with vendor balances.

• Assisting Controller/Treasurer for coordination with quarterly limited reviews and annual audits.

• Coordinating with Treasury and Tax Manager for information required for filing various state and federal tax returns.

Requirements:

• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• 7+years’ experience in accounting or related field
• Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment preferred.
