Job Description
Position Summary: Responsible for the overall reporting of operating results and the administration of accounting practices. Accountable for planning, developing, implementing, and administering financial control, analysis, operating systems, and internal control in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Benefits Include: Retirement Savings Health Benefits Work from Home Flexibility Paid holidays off Rad work environment Essential Duties & Responsibilities , the essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Prepare accurate and timely invoices in accordance with contractual terms in the Sage Intaact accounting system Assist with training of accounting systems Prepare billing schedules and supporting documentation as required by the contract Reconcile billing data to project financial reports Research, reconcile, and resolve billing issues and unbilled transactions in a timely manner Prepare day-to-day accounting entries and assist in the monthly closing process Perform posting to the General Ledger Prepare reconciliations for General Ledger accounts Process and review timesheets and payroll transactions Process accounts payable, travel expenses and purchase order vouchers Track outstanding accounts receivable and follow up with customers about past-due invoices Prepare information for state, local, and federal taxing authorities or other government agencies as required Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance with company policies and procedures Communicate in an effective, ethical, and professional manner with the company, vendor, and customer personnel Perform other administrative duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities): Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related discipline preferred At least 2+ years of accounting/finance experience is required with emphasis on billing and support of all billing-related functions, or 5 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree At least 1+ years of accounting experience within the restaurant, hospitality, or relevant sector required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be able to work independently and effectively manage time in order to accomplish goals in a time-sensitive environment Must be detail-oriented with excellent analytical problem-solving skills Experience with SAGE Intaact system preferred Strategic leadership skills, in addition to a hands-on approach to getting the job done Problem-solving skills and ability to present solutions for organization and efficiency Acts with the highest degree of integrity Ability to stay stoked and bring positive energy, especially in stressful situations Strong relationship-building skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels at BRG Demonstrated ability to manage a project to provide deliverables within a specified timeframe Excellent presentation skills; development of presentation content and delivery in front of a mixed audience Extensive computer skills with high proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Physical Demands (Additional Requirements) Must have the stamina to work 50 to 55 hours per week The travel required for this position is approximately 10%, and you must be able to travel for up to 5 days at one time (air, car, bus.
