Staff Accountant Jobs

An start up entertainment company in Los Angeles is looking to add a staff accountant to their growing team. This position will be reporting directly to their SVP of Finance & Operations and have the ability to grow with the organization.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as necessary
• Manage onboarding requirements for new vendors and customers
• Maintain financial schedules in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Assist in the development and improvement of accounting processes and procedures
• Assist in month, quarter, and year-end close needs including account reconciliation, completing workbooks, and reconciliation of general ledger
• Full accounts receivable (AR) process ownership, including creating/modifying invoices, GL coding, and active efforts to improve the cash to collections cycle

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of overall accounting experience; recent experience in a similar role is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business; working towards or desire to get CPA a plus
• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting skills in accordance with US GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with systems such as Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Asana, and more
