Job Description

*This will be a remote role based out of the Banfield Pet Hospital Headquarters in Vancouver, WA. Pacific to Central Time preferred.*

Salary Range: $75,029 - $103,165 (DOE)

Summary and Qualifications:

Lead the sourcing process for veterinary hiring, mentor and coach sourcing specialists, and leverage innovated strategies to ensure a top talent funnel for positions at Banfield.

Proactively source qualified candidates to fill all open positions, reducing time to fill and increasing quality of the applicant pool.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Other job duties as assigned.
  • Meet established hiring targets, manage stakeholder partnerships and interact with key leaders in Talent Acquisition to drive continuous improvement via measurement tools, scorecards and sourcing analytics.
  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
  • Present data to TA leadership on competitive trends, market research and candidate lead generation insights to Talent Acquisition leadership and key stakeholders within People & Organization.
  • Lead the sourcing team in the development and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures for recruitment, testing, selection and hiring process for new associates.
  • Present Banfield as an employer of choice at various career fairs, employer panels and other public speaking events.
  • Lead strategies to source active and passive candidates with direct sourcing methods, leveraging current technologies, networking and recruiting best practices. Identify, cultivate and pipeline quality and diverse leads of candidate pools for doctor vacancies across the practice.
  • Communicate effectively with TA leadership regarding day-to-day sourcing operations.
  • Lead, coach and mentor sourcers as needed.
  • Maintain and update applicant-tracking database.
  • Provide input on revisions, upgrades, technology and process enhancements for Banfield’s career center, ATS and CRM, that would improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ensure effective and efficient lead generation for doctor, vet tech and Central Team Support sourcing through calling, texting, emailing and leveraging other AI technologies.

Special Working Conditions:

  • Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
  • Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.

Experience, Education and/or Training:

  • Experience with an ATS and CRM is required.
  • Five years of Sourcing experience are required, with demonstrated success in a high-volume recruitment position, business understanding and personal organization.
  • Healthcare background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) is preferred.
  • Experience conducting deep dive candidate searches using a variety of search techniques to include complex Boolean searches, flip searches, x-ray searches and reverse searches, utilizing short and long-term sourcing visions is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar discipline is required, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Experience with email and texting marketing campaigns is required.
