Position Title: Project Manager


External Description


Position Summary:


This Senior PM role requires excellent leadership skills, strong knowledge of healthcare processes and hands-on program management skills. The right candidate will be adept at writing technical specifications, owning program schedules from design to release, and partnering effectively with other teams across Alignment. As a Senior PM, you will ensure all projects are delivered on schedule and within budget, while satisfying agreed-upon customer requirements and specifications within the scope of the project. You will also oversee all aspects of projects including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress of project.


You will also apply project management methods and tools to produce project estimates, project plans and schedules, measures, and milestones. You will proactively managed risk, issues, scope, and human resources throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will prepare and delivers status reports for management. You must possess the ability to work within a team, as well as cross-functionally within the organization; juggling multiple priorities and conflicting departmental goals to drive to an effective outcome.


General Duties/Responsibilities (May Include But Are Not Limited To)


  • Conduct focused and organization-wide meetings that inform and drive concepts to action.
  • Integrate Project Plans and reporting to other areas within the organization.
  • Mentor or lead Junior Project Managers to adopt the Alignment approach to projects and maintaining continuity of the processes.
  • Build, maintain and communicate using standardized Project Management Artifacts.
  • Handle multiple large and small projects, separately to meet the business owners’ goals while maintaining an awareness of the impact to other systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent OR a Project Management Certification and Relatable Work Experience.
  • Preferred:
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in Technical Program and/or Product Management or leading software development or IT projects with aggressive schedules.
  • 3+ years’ experience working with cross functional technical teams and business units to design, develop, and implement new regional growth and Healthcare systems or solutions.
  • Education/Licensure:
  • Minimum Experience:
  • Experience in managing interdepartmental and infrastructure projects
  • Other:
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.


ii. Proficient knowledge of Project/Program Management principles and processes.


iii. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.


iv. Excellent oral and written communication skills.


  • Strong organizational skills, successful track record of coordinating between multiple project stakeholders, technical program managers, and software development teams.


vi. Experience in creating and managing complex, cross-team project plans; prior success in driving execution of large-scale project plans with multiple teams in support of business goals.


vii. Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, VSTS, Project tools and proven leadership skills.


viii. Knowledge of service-oriented architecture, object-oriented development, build processes, change control management and release models.
