About the team
The Visual Quality & Design team is a centralized design group responsible for delivering premium quality creative for all applications, experiences and meta-data released and updated throughout the life of our products to create user delight beyond core OS features. This includes on-device advertising assets, unique on-device experiences, wallpapers, screensavers and more. About the role
Do you want to lead programs for Roku City or similar experiences enjoyed by over 70M Roku users? As Senior Program Manager, you will report to the Director of Program and Production Management and play a crucial role in managing and overseeing projects from conception to completion. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across multiple cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, QA, analytics, and operations, to ensure the successful execution of creative initiatives. This role requires a strong blend of project management skills, creative thinking, and excellent communication abilities.
This is a hybrid role, based in our Austin, TX office.
What you’ll be doing
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing
- Act as the main point of contact for internal teams, external vendors, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, fostering strong working relationships
- Act as the bridge between conceptual design work and the production of design assets, to develop appropriate project scopes, budgets, and resource requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives
- Monitor and evaluate project performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures as needed
- Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any issues or risks that may impact project delivery
- Promote an environment of design-led thinking; working with Designers to explore new and unique ways of solving challenges and be an advocate for the importance and value of effective visual design
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, deliverables, and milestones
- Lead and manage the end-to-end execution of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
We’re excited if you have
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as design, engineering, communications, or marketing
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire creative teams
- Proficient in project management tools and software to streamline workflows and track project progress
- Strong understanding of the product development process and the creative process, including graphic design, illustration, copywriting etc
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail
- Proven experience as a Program Manager or in a similar project management role within a creative agency, product, or design department
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively and meeting deadlines
