Sr. Network Engineer Jobs

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to develop and maintain functional and secure networks. The Sr. Network Engineer will optimize and troubleshoot our networks for our users as well as mentor a team of engineers. In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture. Responsibilities

• Monitors network performance and investigates problems and outages to resolution
• Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
• Coordinates and makes assignments for the current and future requirements of assigned areas of responsibility
• Creates and maintains network documentation, including scopes of works, diagrams, processes, and test plans
• Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning for the enterprise
• Responds to requests for installation, administration, and support of network components and systems
• Implements and provides guidance related to processes and policies
• Performs administration and implementation tasks for the organization’s network infrastructure, including wired, wireless, and voice connectivity
• Incorporate security best practices in Network design implementation
• Research, plans, tests, and supports the implementation of various business and technical solutions
• Provides technical support for network issues, network analysis, installation, configuration, and support
• Evaluates and recommends solutions that are feasible, compatible, and consistent with the department and organization’s strategic goals
• Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
• Works with other network engineers and/or vendor support to reduce network service disruption
• In-depth, advanced understanding of the AWS/Azure ecosystem and how to apply them in a reliable and efficient means are a strong plus

Requirements

• Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS, Unifi, PANos)
• Sharp troubleshooting skills
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. DataDog, PRTG, Syslog, Splunk)
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
• Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g Python, Perl)
• Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator
• Solid background in network administration and architecture
• Organizational and mentoring skills
• Ability to work independently
• Unix/Linux experience
• Familiarity with access control models and network security
