A profitable, high-growth Med Tech company in the orthopedics space is building out their commercial team. This industry-leading medical device company is hiring a team leader of reimbursement for a franchise of innovative arthroscopic products. Still privately held, they have developed the fastest-growing surgical imaging solution for operating rooms on a global basis and are now adding new products in the Orthobiologics market.

The Role:

This is a team leadership role as a participant and leader. There is responsibility for managing reimbursement programs for public and private payers and oversight of plan execution for coding, coverage, and payment in the field. Duties will also include cross-functional team support with the sales force, multiple product teams, and external agency partners. Presenting information on payer policies and trends to internal stakeholders, KOL’s, and external partners. You will partner with stakeholders to identify provider reimbursement issues and implement updates based on solutions generated to address the issues.


As the team lead, you will also support the promotion of next-generation treatments in cellular, molecular, and soft tissue therapies, creating and implementing reimbursement strategies for product launches in the U.S. You will work closely will colleagues in Sales and Medical Affairs for the development of training programs and customer-facing tools, economic models, and other tactical elements of reimbursement to maximize patient access to product line. Focused and meaningful overnight travel is estimated at 40-50%.


Qualifications:

  • An interest in working in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholder audiences
  • 10+ years of reimbursement planning and support in the Medical Device industry in either a field-based or HQ assignment, (orthopedic experience is preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree or better is required; MBA or equivalent is preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience as project and/or team lead with a passion for coach/participant structure; ability to guide and motivate junior team members to form a high functioning team


An attractive compensation package for this position includes a generous base salary, annual bonus based on company and individual performance, and a long-term incentive plan. This position can be based anywhere in the continental U.S. with convenient access to a large, metropolitan airport.
