Job Description
The Gig:


Virgin Voyages is looking for a Senior Learn & Grow Specialist to lead the instructional development of training content and facilitate training. This role works consultatively and strategically with subject matter experts (SMEs) across the business to conduct learning needs analysis and offer instructional strategy in instructor-led, virtual, and other digital modalities. This gig is responsible for the development and implementation of content as well as the facilitation of learning solutions that achieve business objectives.


What You'll Be Up To:


  • Build and implement measurement strategies to show learning impact and ROI to current future programs
  • Use data to assess training needs and measure training effectiveness; iterating and evolving learning experiences accordingly
  • Design, develop, implement training plans, learning journeys, and methods of training delivery in digital-on-demand, virtual, and in-person training formats
  • Leads the design, development, pilot, delivery and evaluation of innovative learning and development solutions that support shipboard Crew onboarding and ongoing development
  • Continuously looks for new ways to identify new learning initiatives to support and elevate the knowledge of our crew and improve continuous learning across the business
  • Develop & ensure effective facilitation and growth of our Leadership program and performance management tools
  • Trains and coaches managers, supervisors, and others on leadership development, performance enablement, and Crew engagement
  • Travel 15% or as needed
  • Collaborate with the digital design team to translate course development documents into digital learning experiences, including eLearning, videos, and simulations
  • Lead the content execution and delivery of all of our Virgin Voyages brand learning content and on-boarding to ensure our culture and creeds live within the business


Superpowers Required:


  • Ability to plan, multitask, and manage time effectively
  • Excellent project management and administrative skills
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a training and development capacity or 3+ years managing a successful operational team
  • Confident working knowledge of computer technology
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Comprehensive experience with developing content across multiple delivery methods, including eLearning, instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and other digital methods
  • Flexibility to travel on ad hoc basis
  • At least 2 years of experience delivering role specific training or coaching a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred knowledge of adult learning principles
  • Strong record keeping ability for reports and training materials
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & ability to partner with relevant stakeholders
