Job Description


Establish and implement the communications strategy for Carnival Corporation to keep all Corporate employees informed and motivated to do their best work in support of the company’s mission; collaborate with internal comms teams embedded in the nine world-class cruise lines to cascade important corporate information to all 160,000 team members worldwide; work with people at every level to produce compelling communications to keep team members informed of news and company developments and engaged in supporting the company’s strategic priorities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Help define, plan and implement corporate global internal communications strategy, including master messaging, overall campaigns, strategic comms channels, and ongoing and/or ad hoc projects and programs to achieve strategic communications results
  • Write scripts and manage production and distribution of executive videos targeting internal team member populations; plan and produce content for the monthly Tone from the Top channel in Maritime.
  • Coordinate Carnival Corp involvement in relevant award and recognition programs (external and within Corporation) and promote successes internally to global team members.
  • Manage external comms agency partner on projects, timeliness, and budgets.
  • Support content development and consult on/manage design of reports, presentations, web pages, collateral and other materials (e.g., Code of Conduct, training, Mission/Vision Handbook, annual holiday card, and other messages, messages, studies, presentations and reports).
  • Conceive, write and distribute corporate-wide announcements, stories and informational/feature content to 160,000 team members worldwide; manage all-team member email distribution channel, supporting groups seeking to issue announcements company-wide
  • Promote Carnival Corp and its brands as employers of choice to its 160,000 team members by spotlighting enterprise-wide benefits and privileges, emphasizing DEI commitment, and promoting good news stories internally around the world.
  • Collaborate with nine cruise line brand internal comms teams to manage a company-wide editorial calendar and to cascade corporate communications to the brand workforces; plan, lead and implement multi-brand and enterprise-wide communications and campaigns; leverage best practices across brands, and ensure consistency of corporate messaging in all comms channels.
  • Organize executive Town Halls and other large and small corporate events (in-person and virtually), including all aspects of scheduling, inviting/promoting, content development support, logistics and event management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education: Associate degree

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree

Discipline/Major: Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related

Required Years of Experience: 5+

Preferred Experience & Type: Internal comms experience; executive comms experience; project/program management experience; agency management experience; budget management experience.

Critical Professional Related Technical/Computer Skills: Microsoft Suite, especially Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams & SharePoint; web application interfaces; Canva or other design software/tools.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong writing skills; attention to detail; ability to multitask and perform under pressure; adaptability to changing priorities and workloads; autonomous work style to perform job responsibilities with limited day-to-day oversight; initiative to anticipate company comms needs and judgement to recommend appropriate strategies for addressing them; skilled at consistently producing program results on time and within budget; ability to work effectively with others and on teams.

The range for this role’s base salary is $77,500 - $97,500. Offers to select candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
