Position Purpose:


As the Senior Director, CIO you will lead, prioritize and develop the organization’s Information Technology workstreams, positioning yourself as the true strategic digital partner of the organization, driving innovation and revenue-generating ideas throughout the business. The Senior Director, CIO will employ the organization’s technological capabilities, speed, and customer service to outperform our competitors, and be constantly evolving to cutting edge digital strategy appropriate to our industry.


The Senior Director, CIO will identify opportunities for improvement of our technology landscape, enable our strategic initiatives and be a key change agent, able to influence and inspire their organization and business partners.


Responsibilities:


The Senior Director, CIO will primarily be responsible for aligning the IT roadmap to X-Rite strategic initiatives, ensuring the prioritization, risk management and leadership to deliver on the expected business results, as well as ensuring sustainment. He/she will provide global IT leadership by establishing the IT strategy, objectives, plans, and priorities that support the overall X-Rite strategies. This leader must work closely with X-Rite’s leadership and Corporate IT to ensure alignment of information technology with the business goals of the organization, as well as compliance with the Danaher IT standards. The Senior Director, CIO will lead Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Infrastructure and Systems Development. The position reports into Packaging & Color CIO.


Duties:


  • Develop and deploy a governance and compliance model with key business and IT stakeholders to ensure IT meets the organization priorities in an agile manner.
  • Develop, own, and execute an Information Technology strategy and roadmap to support the Digital needs of X-Rite’s global business.
  • Develop productive relationships with business leaders across the organization to influence the adoption of modern IT capabilities which enable new sources of value. Proactively manage business stakeholder expectations.
  • Continually evaluate new technology trends balancing the need for “enterprise ready” technology with a desire to innovate.
  • Define and execute IT plans to deploy new systems, tools and technology and ensure smooth adoption of these deployments.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team of IT professionals; foster a culture of engagement through coaching and mentoring; successfully translate business requirements into team deliverables, individual goals, and objectives.
  • Provide guidance to establish information security function in terms of cyber-security and systems integrations with on-premise business systems.
  • Ensure stellar supplier management of all IT vendors and working with indirect procurement associates, negotiate effective contracts for software, services, and other tools.


Education and Experience:


The successful candidate will have the following experiences and competencies:


  • Experience with implementation of information technology M&A integrations in a large division/company.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS, MS Business Central and Salesforce applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration; Master of Science or MBA is preferred or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years having overseen multiple functions within Information Technology including ERM, BI, CRM, Infrastructure and IT Services in a fast paced, global multi-site manufacturing or distribution setting.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
  • Strong functional skill set and experience in IT and ability to successfully impact business outcomes and drive the IT organization as enabler of the company’s strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally according to business needs, perhaps as much as 20-40% of time in some periods
  • Successful track record of delivering enterprise solutions which automate process and workflows built upon a deep understanding of Enterprise Systems, Business Intelligence, Sales and Service solutions, IT operations, and Digital IT strategy.


Key Relationships:


  • Will work closely with X-Rite, Product Identification Platform and Corporate IT leaders.
  • X-Rite leaders representing a variety of functions and associates at various levels.
  • Reports to: Packaging & Color CIO.
