Sr Cost Accountant Jobs

Work closely with plant management on all aspects of the financial operations of the plant. You will be involved in understanding and explaining the costs of manufacturing products at the plant and participating in and/or leading other projects needing financial support. This position offers a fast-paced, dynamic work environment to utilize your technical skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with plant Business Unit Managers to identify areas of needed efficiency
• Work on special assignments as needed
• Present plant financial analysis and scorecard to plant management
• Initiate and participate in process improvement projects
• Responsible for the preparation and review of the monthly financial reports for plant
• Perform monthly cost variance analyses and explanations

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong GAAP knowledge
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
• BS in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
• High level of attention to detail
• 5-6 years of related experience
• Cost experience in a manufacturing plant (as a Cost Accountant, Analyst, or Plant Controller)
• Proficient in Excel; Experience with an ERP system a plus
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, growing environment
