Job Description
Sr. Continuous Improvement Specialist
Our Operational Excellence Curtiss-Wright team is looking for a Sr. Continuous Improvement Specialist! As the Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will be a key team player leading the identification and implementation of opportunities for cost reduction, lead-time reduction, inventory reduction, quality improvement, and more. You will also be providing leadership to cross functional partners to sustain, implement and encourage new objectives, metrics, and processes.
Location: Remote (not California) with the ability to travel globally approx. 70% of the time.
Your Challenge:
  • Embed visual management systems throughout the business, to identify processes to clearly identify flow path, flow interruptions, and problem resolution status.
  • Facilitate and lead continuous improvement events and presentations to Curtiss-Wright Business Units globally.
  • Work with the business and fellow teammates to lead the development of and support for the future state "lean vision" and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify areas of improvement for operational efficiencies to improve efficiency, methods, equipment, reduce waste, improve time, and share best practices to achieve common and standardized lean processes within the company.
  • Ensure metrics and reporting are in place to demonstrate the implementation and utilization of CW Way initiatives and learnings.
  • Work with departmental teams, multidisciplinary teams to identify, implement, and track cost savings on an ongoing basis for C-W cost savings metrics to ensure attainment of cost savings metric goals.

Your Expertise:
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of an organization.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience.
  • Digital Visual Management and Power BI experience highly desired.
  • Flexibility to travel extensively - approximately 70% of time.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • 5+ years experience leading and training on Continuous Improvement initiatives.
