POSITION: Sr. Backend Software Engineer (Java and/or Kotlin) – Modern Money Movement

LOCATION: Phoenix, AZ 85054 (Hybrid Onsite 2-Days/Week)

PAY RATE: $76.65 per hour W2 (~$160,000 yearly earnings)

DURATION: 9 Month Contract-To-Hire (100% Long-Term/Career Opportunity)

SUMMARY:

A Fortune 100 Financial Services company in Phoenix is hiring Sr. Backend Software Engineers that are open-minded, willing to learn, and are passionate about building great software. We have a great Fintech environment and engineers must have a passion for innovation. We are building a self-servicing business intelligence platform that enables operational and accounting teams with the data and tools they needed for the day-to-day activities. Our novel platform powers NextGen financial products used by customers worldwide.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of advanced experience in backend reactive programming languages: Java 8+ and/or Kotlin.

• Experience in cloud-based architecture and distributed systems.

• Proven track record developing lightweight reactive microservices: Vert.x, Quarkus, Micronaut and/or Spring Boot.

• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging: Kafka, Web Hooks, asynchronous API design.

• Experience in a broad range of software development and operations technologies such as JVM’s, application debugging, queueing technologies, databases (RDBMS and NoSQL, PostgreSQL is a plus.).

• Experience in Big Data concepts and knowledge in Hadoop and Spark.

• Experience in BI Tools like WebFOCUS, Sisense and Looker.

• Experience with CI/CD platforms and workflows to enable rapid deployment of software systems. • Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Git, Agile, Scrum/Kanban.
