Job Title:Database Administrator(MS SQL, Oracle)

Location: Chandler, AZ (5 Days Onsite)

Duration: Fulltime / Long Term Contract(Only Local Consultants)

About This Role:

We are currently seeking a Database Administrator who is experienced in database administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the SQL database server environment and overall monitoring the integrity of data.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement database maintenance plans, including index rebuilds, statistics updates, and database defragmentation
• Collaborate with development teams and analysts to ensure optimal database design and performance on new and existing applications
• Install and configure the SQL Server software and related tools
• Monitor and optimize database performance, including assisting with query tuning, index optimization, and database design where necessary
• Plan and execute database migrations and upgrades
• Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, including identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and database corruption

REQUIREMENTS

• Solid understanding of database management systems, data structures, and database design principles
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in backup, recovery, and restoration strategies for databases and disaster recovery planning
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong experience in SQL Server installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization, including high availability and disaster recovery technologies
• Ability to write SQL queries and scripts to perform various database operations
• Knowledge of database monitoring and tuning tools
• Understanding of Windows Server operating system, Active Directory, and security protocols
• 10 years of experience in database administration, preferably in a Windows Server and SQL environment
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting

WE are looking for a SQL developer who will be responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. You will also work other developers optimizing in-application SQL statements as necessary, and establishing best practices. You will help solve all database usage issues and come up with ideas and advice that can help avoid such problems in the future.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare documentation and specifications
• Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements
• Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Profile server resource usage, and optimize and tweak as necessary
• Ensure the performance, security, and availability of databases

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience with some of the modern relational databases
• Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
• Strong Proficiency With SQL And Its Variation Among Popular Databases
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as {{Git / Mercurial / SVN}}
• Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
• Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it
• Capable of configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters as necessary
• Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
• Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
