Job Description

SQL Server Database Administrator and Developer


**Remote, but you must be within driving distance to office in Cleveland, Ohio for occasional meetings.


Direct Hire/Salaried (110-125K base salary)

This is an immediate need. I am looking to speak with local NE Ohio (or folks relocating here on their own) Database Administrator with experience in a SQL Server Database Administrator environment (SQL DBA). This position will be as an experienced Database Administrator on the team. Versions 2008R2 through 2016 SQL Server.


You will be working within an very large SQL database (multiple 4TB) enterprise environment and successful candidates will have previous experience working at that scale. A majority of the SQL databases are 2016 Documented success of working with clustering, high-availability, multi-node server farms will win the day!


You will be working with 3 database administrators working collaboratively with developers and the business to insure a smooth operation. Solid experience with SSIS, SSAS, and reporting services will also put you over the top.


Requirements of the SQL DBA:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent.
  • Experience working as SQL DBA with applications tuning being a high priority.
  • Experience or desire to learn cloud based DB platforms and tools (Azure, AWS).
  • Local to NE Ohio only. Remote work for folks located within driving (1 hour) distance to Cleveland location for occasional meetings.
  • 4+ years experience using SQL Server. (v2016 through v2019 will work best)
  • SSRS, SSIS, and other applicable BI and ETL tools experience (ex. SSRS, SSIS, Tableau. PowerBI)
  • Experience/ability to learn MS-SQL Queries and Stored Procedures.
  • SQL scripting skills (TSQL triggers functions stored procedures)
