Founded in 2014 to deliver convenient, trusted, and eco-friendly car care, Spiffy is a rapidly growing technology and services company. Spiffy offers mobile and fixed-site car washing, detailing, mobile oil changes, high-volume oil change, tire rotation, vehicle, home, and office decontamination and other services to fleets, residences, and office parks from coast to coast. The company does all technology development, marketing, and sales in-house. Starting pay is $18/hr and employees earn/acculmulate PTO (paid time off) over a period of time.

JOB PURPOSE
The Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance services on vehicles, car wash and details, home, office, and vehicle decontamination. This position is expected to carry out all responsibilities through to completion with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Maintain lubrication equipment.
• Communicate effectively with management and our customers.
• Build positive relationships with employees and customers.
• Wash and detail vehicles.
• Complete vehicle, home, or office building decontamination cleaning services. Ensure that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with company standards. Maintains records of time, materials, and work performed.
• Service other fluids such as air filters, grease fittings, lights, windshield wipers, etc. Maintain cleanliness of vehicles while performing services.
• Operate lubrication equipment to change oil and service oil filters.
• Write up work orders.
• Reset oil lights and update door stickers on vehicles.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Rotate tires and check brake pads.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVES)
High School Diploma or equivalent

• Basic computer and math skills
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license and be 18 years of age Flexibility in scheduling which may include nights weekends and holidays
• Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Tech-savvy with a smart phone
• Desire to learn a new set of skills

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS (NICE TO HAVES) 1-2 years of oil change and auto mechanic training

• Manual technical background
• Flexibility to move around the US
• Customer service experience
• Fleet experience (rental cars, trucks, etc.)

WORKING CONDITIONS
This job will involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements such as hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, dust/dirt and exhaust fumes.

• Must be able to lift and move inventory items and other work-related items (up to 50 pounds); Must be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods.

• Must be able to push, pull, bend at the knees and waist, lift, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, climb steps, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, all of this for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the day.
