Boss Truck Shops is looking for Diesel Technicians! Pay range: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour DEQ plus $8.00/billed hour commission.

The Shop Technician I is responsible for performing entry level mechanical repairs in a timely and professional manner.
Essential Job Duties/Functions:
- Stays current on all LMS training.
- Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
- Practices and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees and customers.
- Ensures all parts, tires, etc., are properly put away.
- Performs tire services.
- Provides friendly and competent customer service.
- Completes Tech I training program.
- Performs PM’s and oil changes.
- Completes work orders by providing the necessary customer information, labor performed, parts used, and any other information for warranty purposes.
- Ensures all service equipment (jacks, tools, trucks) are in good working order, clean, and properly repaired when needed.
- Ensures total customer satisfaction and the integrity of Bosselman.
- Performs minor repairs.
- Complete OSHA Skills Demonstration within the first week of employment.
- Maintains cleanliness of shop and keeps free of clutter.
- Completes basic lighting repair (replace lights, repair wiring, replace 7-ways)
- Performs service calls and night call outs (if required).
- Conducts basic air system repair (Brake cans, valve replacement, airline replacement/repair, air drier repair, governor replacement, glad hands).
- Greases trucks and trailers.
- Completes Basic wheel end (Brakes, drums, studs, hubcaps).
Additional Job Duties:
- Assists in other duties, as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed):
- Tire Service/LMS TIA Certified within 18 months of employment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to communicate in English. – IF APPLICABLE
- Must be proficient in PM’s (Familiar with all models, PM under 50 minutes, knows filter layout, and can identify all failures/potential upsells)
- Valid driver's license and be insurable to drive, preferred.
- Proficient with road service (safety, tire apps)
- Able to work weekends, holidays, and as needed.
- Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
- Must have reliable transportation and phone.
- Must be proficient in tires (flat repairs under 40 min, M&D under 30 min, tire counts, and tire identification)
- Able to furnish own tools to perform work.
- Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
