Overview


At EIM, we are re-imagining healthcare education to humanize patient care in every community. We offer accessible lifelong learning to healthcare professionals transforming their communities. The SLP Academic Officer will play a pivotal role in the success of EIM’s mission to expand SLP educational offerings to our University Partners (UP) and post professional (PP) clients. The SLP Academic Officer will assist in the development, launch, and management of hybrid accelerated SLP programs in collaboration with our various UP clients. The SLP Academic Officer will also consult with our post- professional leadership to develop and/or elevate SLP-specific course offerings to meet the professional development and continuing education needs of our SLP clients. The SLP Academic Officer will report to the EIM Chief Academic Officer and will work closely with our UP directors, faculty, subject matter experts (SME), instructional designers, and accreditation experts to accomplish all assigned duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities


Responsibilities:
  • Develop admissions standards and procedures to enroll large cohorts of qualified and diverse
  • Develop faculty and staff requirements for DPT program based on accepted faculty-to- student ratios, faculty and administrative workloads, and program
  • Assist UP clients in the development and execution of DPT programs based on an accelerated and hybrid education curriculum
  • Consult with the EIM VP of Faculty Experience on the development and assessment of post professional SLP program and course offerings. Direct SMEs on the appropriate development and delivery of assigned program and course offerings. Develop synergies and progression of educational content between entry-level and post-professional instructional content.
  • Tailor the EIM hybrid accelerated curriculum model based on the mission, vision and goals of each UP
  • Develop faculty recruitment strategies to fill future core and associated faculty positions with qualified and diverse physical
  • Plan and deliver faculty development activities related to hybrid
  • Coordinate with EIM Team leadership for accreditation, marketing, admissions, curriculum, and clinical education to develop and deliver SLP-specific support functions that meet program development and ongoing service
  • Develop an EIM hybrid accelerated curriculum model for SLP education and direct a team of SMEs in curriculum and course development activities, to include degree planning, course syllabi creation, course mapping/scheduling, curriculum mapping, and instructional content.
  • Oversee accreditation support provided to UP clients to achieve institutional and programmatic
  • Serve as the EIM liaison to the ASHA, CAPCSD, and CAA on all SLP-related
  • Serve as EIM liaison for all SLP Program Directors to manage client relations and ensure the ongoing provision of support services to meet the needs of each program. Facilitate collaborative opportunities between UP programs to achieve EIM’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Develop and direct strategies for the procurement of clinical facilities to meet clinical education experience
  • Develop a financial model and budget to support anticipated program needs, to include academic and clinical education, core and associated faculty, facilities, and
  • Oversee the Curriculum Development and Design Team support for curriculum and course development activities, to include degree planning, course syllabi creation, course mapping/scheduling, curriculum mapping, and instructional content
  • Assist in establishing EIM’s brand awareness and credibility within the SLP profession through professional conferences, engagement in professional associations, development of sales and marketing collaterals, and creation of relevant professional and clinical


Qualifications


Key Qualifications


Required
  • A graduate degree with a major emphasis in speech-language pathology awarded by an institution that is accredited by a regional accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of
  • Scholarship achievements in the areas of scholarship of application and/or scholarship of teaching and learning;
  • At least 3 years of experience in a full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities at the postbaccalaureate level
  • Clinical practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist;
  • Experience with programmatic accreditation through the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA); and
  • Certification/Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Knowledge of legislative, regulatory, legal, and practice issues affecting the Speech- Language Pathologist profession and SLP education.
  • Administrative experience in SLP education including, but not limited to, program planning, implementation, assessment and accreditation; personnel management; evaluation; and budgeting;
  • A minimum of 8 years of documented experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required. This experience must include:

  • An earned doctorate (PhD, EdD, DSc, or equivalent in a related field) awarded by an institution that is accredited by a regional accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
