This is an outstanding opportunity for you as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant to work for Acute Care Therapy Services at our Medical Center in Dallas. Working as part of our interdisciplinary team, you will use your training and skills to provide evidence-based care to patients. You will be responsible for implementing specific feeding programs based upon current principles and practices of the Speech Language Pathologist therapy team and collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist you will be feeding in-patient acute care patients with an average admittance of 30 days within a six bed unit. This role is mainly on campus but will require minimal virtual meetings to fulfill indirect supervision requirements.
These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Children's Health philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

Shift and Hours: Weekday Shift, Full-T ime (40 hours)
Location: Acute Care-Children’s Medical Center Dallas- 1935 Medical District Drive Dallas, Texas 75235
Experience
At least one year job related experience required
At least one year experience with the pediatric population required
One to two years Speech Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred
Previous customer services experience preferred
In patient pediatric acute care experience preferred Education
Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience Associates degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology Assistant Program required
Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred License and Certification
License to practice as a Certified Speech Language Assistant in the State of Texas required
Current CPR/BLS Certification with the American Heart Association of Healthcare Providers upon hire required
Current Driver's License and automobile insurance required About Us
