Physical Requirements
Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary for the position including but not limited to: running, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, sitting on the floor and in small children’s chairs, getting up and down from the floor, and lifting children and equipment. Must also have, with correction, vision and hearing within normal limits and the capacity to provide the children with a speech/language model.

Job Summary
The College of Health Sciences is currently seeking a pediatric Speech Pathologist to provide consultation, assessment, and treatment of a variety of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing impairments in patients. Speech therapy services are provided in a multidisciplinary model across two main practice locations. Locations currently include the Child Development Center of the Bluegrass, Charles T Wethington Bldg, and in the home/community settings.
This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.
