General Summary….
The Specialist II, Security plans and implements security awareness programs for FedEx management and employee groups. The incumbent implements loss prevention programs and conducts investigations in theft, pilferage, workplace violence, and other acts detrimental to the FedEx brand, its customers, and its employees.
This position will be responsible for…..
- Performs security assessments and produces any corrective action plans required to maintain the security standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Provides matrix support to various levels of teammates and management.
- Maintains security caseloads and updates security information management systems (ESIMS).
- Supports security awareness programs for employees.
- Develops relationships with emergency command centers and is prepared to deploy in emergency situations.
- Conducts investigations into thefts, pilferages, workplace violence, acts of vandalism, misconduct, and other activities detrimental to the FedEx brand, its employees, and its customers.
- Conducts audio recorded interviews and maintains files.
- Maintains liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
- Supports loss prevention programs.
- Supports management initiatives to manage expenses and cost centers within assigned areas of responsibility, as needed.
- Conducts facility inspections, as required.

Education/Experience
- Must qualify for a commission as a law enforcement/private officer in the city/county/state where based.
- Ability to complete required training programs.
- Ability to prepare investigative summaries and detailed reports.
- Knowledge of Microsoft-based computer programs.
- Must be bondable.
- Bachelor’s degree/equivalent. One (1) year law enforcement or related experience.
- Knowledge of anti-terrorism operations.
- Good human relations and investigative skills, communication skills, and writing skills.
Physical/Cognitive Requirements

- Ability to read, write and interpret information.
- Ability to sit/walk/stand for up to 8 hours per day.
