WHAT ARE THE HOURS? This full-time, temporary teaching position with Easterseals Valhalla, begins work on July 3rd and would work during the day.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ENTAIL? While working as a full-time Special Education Teacher with our human services nonprofit, you design a motivating classroom environment, create daily lesson plans, and track students' progress through periodic scales and case conferences. You implement approved behavioral systems and maintain accurate attendance records. They submit progress reports and attend meetings and training, both school-specific and agency-related. Each day you ensure student supervision at all times and collaborate with professionals and coordinators. Additionally, you participate in community-oriented meetings and workshops to promote awareness of Easterseals' mission. You love this position and enjoy that every day involves providing a supportive and inclusive learning experience for students with special needs. With your positive attitude, you are aware you are making a difference in the lives of your students with disabilities!
