Solar Installer Jobs

PeopleReady Skilled Trades has a urgent need for Solar Installers who have electrical experience for a local solar site in Manassas, VA.

Note - Pay rate for this job is $19.50 - $21.75 / hour

Responsibilities

• Assembles and installs solar panels on roofs and other structures.
• Ensures that equipment is weather sealed.
• Inspects electrical installation and wiring. Tests operating voltages; calibrates to ensure systems are within acceptable power limits.
• Configures PV systems based on site conditions and customers needs and expectations; connects panels to the power grid.
• Performs routine maintenance on PV systems. Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Follows building standards and codes when installing panels and support structures.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment.
• Ability to read building plans.
• Ability to read equipment manuals.
• Extensive knowledge of PV equipment and installation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools to install PV panels.
