Software Test Engineer (Remote Work Options)
$29.80 - $36.50 / hour
Job Level: Individual Contributor
What You Will Be Doing:
Utilize automation in the execution of unit, function, integration, system, regression, vulnerability, and performance tests for new and existing systems. Responsible for analyzing, testing, and assisting with the integration of new applications as well as overseeing the documentation of all testing activity.
What We're Looking For:
  • Version control (Git)
  • Ability to use automation and apply best practices to build testing suites.
  • Knowledge of front-end and back-end technologies and tools to support testing these technologies.
  • Basic understanding of SCRUM/Agile and Waterfall development methodologies in addition to knowledge of modern programming and scripting languages (Java/JavaScript).
  • Understanding of:
    • Software development processes (Test-driven development)
    • Version control (Git)
    • Build tools (Jenkins) and integrating test scripts
    • Relational and non-relational databases
    • Architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
  • Relational and non-relational databases
  • Ability to read and interpret logs (Graylog).
  • Capability to collaborate with, educate, and learn from other Software Test Engineers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Business stakeholders and Management.
  • Build tools (Jenkins) and integrating test scripts
  • Experience and knowledge of modern testing tools and frameworks.
  • Software development processes (Test-driven development)
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to work with a team or independently.
  • Ability to quickly learn business functions and tie them to the application/system.
  • Architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
  • Excellent analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
