Position: Software Test Automation Engineer

Job Location s : Burlington, MA Telecommuting (work from home) permitted within metropolitan statistical area.

Job Duties: Create, modify, implement, and execute automated test cases for web applications using Java, Junit, REST API’, Selenium, Cucumber and Amazon web services (SQS, SNS and Cognito). Develop automation test framework based on the requirements in accordance with software development standards. Actively contribute in proposing design solutions to improve test framework to achieve modularity and efficiency. Collaborate with testing and development teams to define testing goals and strategies for newly developed or existing features and modules. Analyze and implement positive and negative test scenarios that can be automated to ensure the quality of web applications. Document and communicate test results and troubleshoot defects to collaboratively work with developers to ensure the defects are fixed. Build continuous integration pipelines to speed up automated test execution and leveraging Jenkins. Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality for the end-user. In connection with above duties, utilize experience in the following: designing, development and implementation of software applications; code optimization; self-code reviews; updating defect logs and test scripts to comply with quality processes and timelines; flagging any requirements or issues raised; providing application production support; Java/J2EE; DB2 database; agile environment; Java Web Services; problem solving complex application environments, deployment architecture, and high availability concepts; and communicating with developers, architects and end-users to appropriately escalate complex queries.
Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in job offered or 2 years of experience in related occupation utilizing experience in the following: designing, development and implementation of software applications; code optimization; self-code reviews; updating defect logs and test scripts to comply with quality processes and timelines; flagging any requirements or issues raised; and providing application production support. Also requires 1 year experience in Java/J2EE; DB2 database; agile environment; Java Web Services; problem solving complex application environments, deployment architecture, and high availability concepts; and communicating with developers, architects and end-users to appropriately escalate complex queries.

In lieu of Master’s degree, employer will accept Bachelor's degree in above-listed fields and 5 years of progressive work experience. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience. Experience may be gained concurrently. Telecommuting (work from home) permitted within metropolitan statistical area.

Salary: $126,402.00 - $130,000.00
