Job Description
The Automotive Vehicles team is searching for a creative and experienced Software Systems Engineer to help us bring NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle solution out to the world! You will participate in a focused effort to develop and productize ground-breaking solutions that will redefine the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. You will work with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our AV SW platform, while achieving or exceeding all meaningful NVIDIA and automotive standards & guidelines. You'll find the work is exciting, fun, and relevant! We have deadlines, customers, and competition.


What You Will Be Doing


  • Own the requirements for needed assets to accomplish the functionality with OEM partners to ensure stable, extensible, and class leading features (e.g., lane lines, signs, road types, obstacle types, attributes of all features, etc).
  • Analyze and compare the impact of ODDs on relevant performance metrics, translating data and analysis into impactful recommendations
  • Develop testing plans to verify completeness and accuracy of requirements to deliver world class AV performance
  • Development of requirements to deliver functionality across complex systems that collaborate with road infrastructure that vary across the globe
  • Develop comprehensive, stable, traceable requirements to enable algorithm development with clear performance goals in mind.
  • Prototype & pilot new/improved processes to unblock product execution, and mature them to the point where they can be mostly automated and/or delegated


What We Need To See


  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive alignment across large organizations
  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or another related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated experience in systems engineering, robotics, systems analysis, data analysis, or statistical analysis
  • 3+ years of proven experience


Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd


  • Experience with autonomous vehicles and/or machine learning
  • You have experience working with large datasets, SQL and Python or C++
  • Experience with start-ups and/or early-stage products
  • Motivated to work collaboratively to improve AV products and systems engineering processes
The base salary range is $144,000 - $270,250. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
