FSV Payment Systems, Inc., a part of the U.S. Bank family, is seeking Software Engineers based at Minneapolis, MN HQ. Telecommuting available anywhere in the U.S.
Duties: The Software Engineer will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. The Software Engineer will collaborate with a team and across the organization; take responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience; and be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles. Specifically the Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products; taking full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code; consistently creating optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considering scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs; making sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront; taking feedback from code review and applying changes to meet standards; conducting code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures; ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices; exhibiting relentless focus in software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards; embracing emerging technology opportunities and contributing to the best practices in support of the bank’s technology transformation; contributing to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement; reviewing tasks critically and ensuring they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery; and anticipating and communicating blockers and delays before they require escalation. The Software Engineer will develop portal applications like Liferay using Liferay DXP; will develop Web-based and Client-Server applications using Java/J2EE, JDBC, Hibernate, Spring MVC, JSP, GWT, HTML, CSS and Bootstrapping, SQL queries; and will develop and deploy REST and SOAP web services using Jersey and Spring framework. Position based at company headquarters located at 800 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55402. Telecommuting available anywhere in the U.S. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $109,075 - $113,200.
Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience. Alternatively, may have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and two years of related experience. Must also have 24 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: 1) Developing portal applications like Liferay using Liferay DXP. 2) Developing Web-based and Client-Server applications using Java/J2EE, JDBC, Hibernate, Spring MVC, JSP, GWT, HTML, CSS and Bootstrapping, SQL queries. 3) Developing and deploying REST and SOAP web services using Jersey and Spring framework. 4) Following Software Development Lifecycle methodologies like Agile and Scrum. All experience may have been gained concurrently. Position based at company headquarters located at 800 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55402. Telecommuting available anywhere in the U.S.
