Radial, the leader in omnichannel commerce technologies and operations has an exciting opening for a UI Developer. Radial’s omnichannel solutions use cutting-edge technology and analytics to optimize the e-commerce end to end processes reducing costs for our customer while enhancing the consumer experience.
Role Summary:
The UI Developer will work with back-end developers and web developers to ensure that our front-end applications are optimized for several devices and presented attractively. The right candidate must have a strong understanding of design principles and user experience (UX) design. He/she should be able to accommodate the aesthetic ideals of the company, product, or program they’re working for without compromising usability. Additionally, you will have to stay up to date on emerging technologies.
Responsibilities:

• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Work through agile process in JIRA and other time tracking tools
• Understand and implement secure coding as part of the deployment process.
• Provide mentorship to junior members of the team to collaborate effectively and learn innovative technologies.
• Provide application support for monitoring of the applications effectively targeting 24/7 uptime. Ability to triage issues occasionally outside working hours that might impact the client's ability to use the application.
• Timely turn arounds for feature development and issue fixes
• Expertly work with JavaScript - React, HTML and CSS
• Work with your team to design and build software applications to function across multiple platforms.
• Understand and work with AWS cloud as required.
• Help the team to stay up to date on the latest technology frameworks in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Provide extended support during selective months of the year that we call peak when the application traffic volumes are high.
• Understand CI/CD pipelines.
• Write functional requirement documents and guides.
• Collaborate with other team members to drive solutions for simple to complex problems that would improve usability of the product for the customers.
• Actively suggest and own features and enhancements to the applications
• Ensure high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency.
• Writing unit and integration tests to increase coverage and quality of the code.
• Help to create and review merge requests in Git/GitLab
• Suggest and improve technical aspects of the application like usability, responsiveness, and optimizations.
• Occasionally work with middleware/Webserver technologies like NodeJS to support middleware orchestration and data transformations for the front-end applications.

Qualifications:

• In-depth understanding of the entire web development SDLC process (design, development, and deployment).
• Minimum of 5+ years working as a professional UI developer.
• Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite, Photoshop, and content management systems preferred.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Expertise in any one or more of JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby, Java, and/or other programming languages preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology.
• Excellent analytical and multitasking skills.
• Good understanding of SEO principles.
• Strong understanding of front-end coding and development technologies.
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including but not limited to React.
