Software Engineer III (Theon/Population Mgmt) for Capital Blue Cross, may telecommute from approved metro areas (reporting to Harrisburg, PA HQ). Responsible to prototype, design, dev & support software programming apps, incl. contribute to implem. & delivery of software & hardware components. Duties incl: software engineering; engineering analysis, performance & hw/sw tradeoff evals of system designs; design & implement phases of Software Development Life Cycle [SDLC]; ID root cause of sys issues & determine short & long term resolutions; Ensure sys improvements are implemented & monitored; and interface w/ Engineering, Managed Services, Product & upper mgmt to learn/adapt & execute on defined spec, implem., release & support of developed products. May do occasional after-hrs support. May undergo background checks. Must have Bachelors in Comp Sci, Comp Engr, or rel field, and 3 yrs relevant IT exp. Also requires skills in: (3 yrs exp) coding, C#, Python, SQL, JavaScript, EXT JS, AngularJS, JSON / XML, ASP.NET, MVC, REST, Web Services, Windows Services, various types of DBs/app servers, Software Engineering (design, architect, implement, deploy, and support), OO programming, SaaS Oriented Architecture, Agile, and collaborating w/ multiple bus. layers, int and ext, to deliver products through all aspects of SDLC; (2 yrs exp) Amazon Web Services Infrastructure, work all phases of SDLC, and software analysis/architecture, tech reqs, design and dvlpmnt; and (1 yr exp) version controlling, JavaScript frameworks, and cloud computing.
