SUMMARY

As a Software Engineer - QA Automation, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the best talent in the industry to develop test scenarios for unit, process, function, integration, and acceptance testing. You will define and maintain test system configurations and perform test executions while writing test scripts for complex, integrated systems. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions while working alongside multiple SCRUM teams. You will work to review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.) while assisting with the definition and implementation of automation frameworks, automation coverage, code review, analysis, and regression test suite maintenance. Your work will establish goals and objectives for target products during each test iteration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Dedicate time to exploratory testing and represent the customer voice to development teams
• Produce reports and documentation for all automated testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging, and tracking.
• Use JIRA to manage tasks/issues affecting localized content, quality, and functionality
• Coordinate the tracking and reporting of key quality metrics for measuring progress, quality, and efficiency
• Trace test cases and results back to specific user stories/requirements/quality risks
• Review historical, existing, and ongoing bug reports to identify areas needing specific attention
• Implements test processes on projects, writes test plans, procedures, and scripts, and analyzes test results.
• Establishes goals and objectives for appropriate testing cycles. Defines and maintains test standards and quality assurance tasks.
• Write/review test automation code to ensure coding standards and best practices are being followed
• Performs test executions and writes test scripts for complex integrated systems.
• Drive architecting, implementing, and enhancing both manual and automated testing processes to support a CICD approach to software deployments

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

• Strong organizational and coordination skills - to succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort and experience working in an Agile SCRUM environment
• Experience with bug tracking and task management software such as Jira / DevOps
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration principles and best practices
• Knowledge of Test Mgmt. Suites - e.g., Xray, Zephyr
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to stay focused under pressure
• Proven experience in software tools development, automation, and systems integration
• Experience collaborating across the organization - integrating with numerous teams

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Experience shipping software on consumer devices (and related collaterals)
• Experience with Automation Software Testing tools e.g., Selenium, Cypress.io, Playwright, Detox
• Experience with standard source control (Git/GitLab)
• Experience with jUnit, Jest, Mocha, testing frameworks
• Development experience in at least one of the following: Java, Kotlin, Python, Perl, web apps (JavaScript/Node, CSS, HTML etc.), mobile apps (Android, Flutter), and related APIs.
• 2+ years of experience in automation, creating scripts, execution, and troubleshooting using automation tools
• 3+ years of progressive QA/testing experience

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• May be responsible for supervision of support resources, coordinating testing scenarios, and tasked with managing cross-functional relationships in assigned areas. Assists with issue resolution and troubleshooting on a daily basis.
