Software Engineer Jobs

The Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, programming, and support of software applications.This individual will modify and maintain core structures and objects related to various desktop and web applications.The position is located on-site to provide superior support to both internal and external end users.Core responsibilities include understanding and documenting stakeholder requirements, developing the architecture and design, and writing, testing, and launching the application.

Responsibilities

• Consult with project leads to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives
• Participate in project focused Agile processes (stand up, grooming, planning).
• Design and develop business, presentation, and database layers.
• Adhere to best practices and patterns in software development.
• Develop extensible enterprise software using established technologies.
• Write and maintain appropriate documentation to describe program development, logic, utilize coding library and repository tools for revisions
• Work with Architects, Senior Software Engineers, and business clients to collaborate and build industry leading software.
• Research and assess new technologies.
• Assist in the identification and resolution of support requests.
• Create detailed effort and cost estimates for enhancements and fixes to the software.
• Provide software application support to internal and external entities.
• Assist in the evaluation and development of new software applications
• Participate in the testing process through test review, analysis, and certification of software

Qualifications

• Detail oriented and able to manage several concurrent activities
• Ability to work with limited guidance in a team environment
• Full stack developer with an understanding of enterprise business systems
• Ability to understand and follow a creative brief and client’s verbal requests
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
• 3-5 years of experience in related areas

.NET Experience:

• Experience working with SQL Server backend databases, database design preferred
• Expert knowledge of object-oriented programming
• Experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and DevExpress components
• Experience with Desktop Application development and providing technical support for software applications

Web Experience:

• Experience with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps
• Experience creating and maintaining web-based applications using .Net, C#, JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC 5, JSON, HTML, UI Frameworks & XML technologies.
• Experience with DevExpress components (Web MVC or WinForms)

·Experience translating WinForms code and flow into Web/Cloud based application using .NET MVC

• Experience with XML Web Services & .NET XML namespace
• Strong ability working with SQL Server backend databases
• Experience with REST based web services
• Experience or knowledge in migrating/deploying applications in Microsoft Azure

Mobile App Experience

• Proficiency with JSON and building/maintaining REST API’s
• Solid skills in designing and developing modern user interfaces for consumers
• Design, develop, test, and maintain mobile applications using Xamarin Forms / C# for both iOS and Android
• Experience deploying and managing app releases to Android and Apple stores
• Working knowledge of MAUI is a plus
